It is located at Zhuitan village fuli township Hualien City Taiwan,. Actually when people say Hualien the first place will enter in our mind is Taroko National park but some of us don’t know that Hualien also have a wonderful place to visit like “Sixty stone mountain” or “Liushidan” in Chinese.
If you’re planning to visit there, it’s better kung mga August or September kasi yun ang month ng pag bloom ng mga “Daylily flowers” or tinatawag nilang “Jin Chen Hua” in Chinese.
How to go there to Sixty stone mountain
When you get off the train at Fuli station, the only way to go to the mountain is to take taxi there . Just ask driver and the he/she already have fix price for fare going to the mountain. Much better if you ask the driver if he/she can wait for you until you finish sightseeing around, kasi walang taxi lane na pwede mong sakyan going back to the station.
What we did is, we contracted the driver for 2000NT$ for 4hrs, he will bring us to the mountain and wait there until 4hours will finish. Then he will bring us back to the station after our tour around the area of the mountain.
View’s in the Sixty stone mountain
The stunning and magnificent view in this mountain.
Maybe you are wondering why they call this place “Sixty stone mountain” or “Liushidan” in Chinese. Base on my research about this place during the Japanese era, the unit of measuring production of rice in Japan is “stone”, so when Japan reclamated the mountain to produce rice, the mountain produced the sixty stone of rice.
I really love this place kasi napaka peaceful, ang sarap mag relax. Siguro if i have a chance to go back to Taiwan. this is the place na paulit-ulit kong pupuntahan. You can feel the power of nature here, i-feel mo yung fresh air while day dreaming super nice feeling.
There is one place na you can’t enter kasi there’s a fence na nakaharang so you can only take picture’s in front of the flowers.
But mas madaming place there na you can take picture with daylily kahit humiga ka pa sa gitna no one will stop you, the only thing will stop you here is some insect na nakadikit sa grass(hahahah) but don’t worry, carry naman kasi they dont bite.
You can also go up to see the rest of the view to witness the wonderful and spectacular nature ng Hualien, Taiwan. For me I can’t still get over how wonderful this place is. Worth it ang pagod and mga selfie’s when you captured this moment in Sixty stone mountain.
However, this flower is seasonal and only once a year lang siya mag bloom, Summer time kaya if you go there by late October, you can’t see much Daylily flowers around the area.
If you happen to go there around December maybe you can see planted Rapeseed flower na same color din ng “Daylily flower” na mag bloom on January.
What to eat in Sixty stone mountain?
This flower can can put in the dish daw, there’s some vendor’s along the road na nag bebenta ng dried daylily in pack for pasalubong. You can also buy soup na ang halo is this flower, the Tea egg na sikat sa Taiwan may halo din ng Daylily and i can say na hindi siya makaka apekto sa lasa ng food. You can also try deep fried Daylily if you want, and the cost is not so pricey. You can also make Tea’s using Daylily flower.
I’m really thankful that i was given a chance to captured the moment in this wonderful place in Taiwan.
